💩 Poop Pattern Clues
☐ Poops are less than 2 cups or 10 inches total per day
☐ Skips days or goes more than 24 hours without a bowel movement
☐ Stool has visible bits of food or signs of poor digestion
☐ Poop looks like balls, pellets, paste, or thin streaks
☐ Smears or staining in underwear
☐ Diarrhea randomly shows up (could be overflow around a blockage)
☐ Strong odor or poop that floats regularly
☐ Poop gets stuck mid-way or child strains hard to release
🧠 Behavioral + Body Clues
☐ Holds groin or buttocks (even outside of potty time)
☐ Regularly lays flat on the floor or knees to chest (relieves pressure)
☐ Grinds teeth (especially during sleep or transitions)
☐ Becomes silly, aggressive, or hyperactive without clear triggers
☐ Easily triggered or melts down with small disruptions
☐ Stomach distended or bloated often (especially by evening)
☐ Shows less interest in play or social interaction
☐ Sudden aversion to sitting still, being touched, or being redirected
☐ Increased sensory seeking behaviors (e.g. spinning, jumping, biting)
