I'm Naana!
I'm a proud autism thrive mom and an integrative health coach.
Joojo (my son), for years, just could not get a good night sleep. He was normally in bed at 8pm but would finally sleep around 9pm. Like clockwork, between 11pm & 12am, he would wake up screaming and crying but!, nothing calms him down when he's in this state. He would eventually settle down and sleep after 20-25mins of having this episode.
He then would wake up between 3am & 4am, HIS DAY BEGINS AT THIS TIME. We were averaging 4-6hrs of sleep each night. He sat on the bed and hummed or talked to himself non-stop, mostly in a language only he understood. I had to occupy him always with an activity. Again, this was like clockwork!!
I took him to the doctor and he said it was night terrors, that he would grow out of it. Ok! He didn't because this lasted for at least 2YRS until I have had enough!! I was exhausted mostly during the day due to lack of sleep.

When we begun our holistic healing journey, Joojo, for the 1st night, slept for 11 hours. No night terrors. whoaaa!! I had to tap him several times to ensure he was breathing because that was not our normal. I was shocked. I was hooked! In addition, I immediately noticed a big change with hyperactivity. The rest is history!
MELATONIN

PRODUCTION
Studies have shown correlation between melatonin and ASD severity
Low melatonin is caused by stress to the body. In ASD,
this stress is mostly toxicity in the body
Your goal is to help your
child's body produce melatonin naturally versus relying on artificial supplementation
MAGNESIUM
ADHD, ASD and PDD people have been shown to have significant low levels of magnesium
Low levels of magnesium in the body is caused by many factors so it can be difficult to focus on one root cuase
Several magnesium supplements on the market do help; but, your goal is to transition from supplementation to the body producing it naturally
